The Satell Institute Website
Satellinstitute.org

The Satell Institute is the nation’s most trusted member organization for CEOs committed to Corporate Social Responsibility. With nearly 1,000 members and over $160 million contributed to over 500 nonprofits, they’re truly in a class of their own.

When we first sat down with the organization’s founder, Ed Satell, he told us he wanted the new website to feel like the kind of magic someone experiences at a conference — that sense of scale, energy, and connection. Having attended Satell events ourselves, we knew exactly what he meant. The old website didn’t reflect the Institute’s impressive momentum or the vibrant network of people who make it thrive. So we set out to change that.

We worked closely with the Institute Leadership Team to reimagine the visitor experience from the ground up. Rather than leading with facts and figures alone, we took a story-first approach, highlighting personal anecdotes and testimonials from members who power the mission. Each page now features real voices, illustrating how corporate philanthropy can transform communities in deeply personal ways.

To showcase the Institute’s powerful impact through its leadership and extraordinary membership community, we partnered with Closely to capture original video and photography from two signature events. The resulting visuals blend breathtaking scale with intimate moments of connection and are woven throughout the site—instantly immersing visitors in a sense of belonging to something bigger.

That footage is woven throughout the site, giving visitors an immediate sense of belonging to something bigger.

Searchable Directories

One of the most exciting new features is a searchable Membership and Nonprofit Affiliate Directory, which allows visitors to explore the extraordinary network of organizations driving collective impact. Visitors can browse the nearly 1,000 members by chapter, industry, or keyword to discover the breadth and depth of the Satell community.

A Future-Ready Platform for a
Future-Focused Organization

The platform itself was designed with agility in mind. As an organization that evolves quickly, the Satell Institute needed a site that could keep pace. We streamlined the content management experience, making it simple to keep content fresh and impact visible in real time.

Bringing the Power of CSR to Life

By featuring recognizable voices, the site gives new visitors an immediate sense of credibility and shared purpose. Whether it’s a CEO outlining why their company invests in long-term partnerships, or a nonprofit leader describing the ripple effects of that commitment, these stories make the mission tangible.

These interviews aren’t just endorsements — they’re personal, passionate narratives that help visitors understand the real-world value of CSR and what makes the Satell Institute so distinctive.

A Voice That Reflects the Mission

To ensure the site’s language felt as intentional as its design, we partnered with the team at ADvsCOPY to develop a cohesive brand voice and messaging framework. Together, we crafted language that captures the aspirational nature of the Satell Institute — bold yet approachable. This low-ego, high-impact tone mirrors the organization’s ethos: collective leadership over individual spotlight, and a belief that real change happens when everyone works together. This brand language now anchors everything from key headlines to subtle microcopy, giving the site a clear, confident, and deeply human voice.

Trust the Numbers

For those who love clear metrics, we let the numbers speak for themselves:

  • $160 million contributed

  • Nearly 1,000 members (and counting)

  • Over 500 Nonprofit partners supported
